House of Snigdha began as a simple dream—a dream of building something of my own, something rooted in my love for sarees, textiles, and the joy they bring to women.
Like many dreams, mine didn't follow a straight path.
Just as I was ready to take the first step, life blessed me with motherhood. Between caring for a newborn and managing the responsibilities that came with it, the dream that once felt so close suddenly seemed far away. There were days when I wondered if there would ever be the right time to begin.
That's when my biggest support system stepped in.
My husband and brother-in-law believed in this dream even when I couldn't fully pursue it myself. Together, we decided to participate in our very first exhibition. What started as an experiment turned into something we never expected. The response was overwhelming. Customers loved the collection, and many were pleasantly surprised to find two young men passionately helping women choose sarees.
As we continued from one exhibition to another, the journey became a story of its own. Some people appreciated seeing my husband and brother-in-law standing beside me and supporting a woman entrepreneur. Some found it unusual and questioned why "the saree business" was being run by boys. But every conversation, every smile, every returning customer strengthened our belief that passion and sincerity matter more than stereotypes.
Exhibition after exhibition, we met incredible women who trusted us, encouraged us, and became a part of our journey. Their love transformed House of Snigdha from a dream into a growing community.
Today, this website is another step forward in that journey.
It allows us to reach beyond exhibition halls and connect with women across India and around the world. It gives us the opportunity to share carefully curated sarees, handcrafted stories, and timeless weaves with people we may never meet in person but who become a part of our family through every order they place.
